Rushing into the main reception area with tears flooding down his face Josh screamed for help.
Holding her body in his arms he cried.
help her please. she's pregnant and she just screamed and fainted i dont know whats wrong with her. he said handing her to a nurse more tears falling from his eyes as he felt himself slightly relive the night of the shooting.
The doctors and nurses placed her on a trolley and muttering medical terms at each other pushed her through the hospital to an empty room. Racing after the trolley praying for Melissa to be ok Josh whimpered.
please be ok. he said being stopped by a nurse as he attempted to enter the room.

Twiddling his thumbs as he anxiously awaited news of his fiance and child Josh fidgeted on his seat. Standing when a doctor approached him he feared the worst. Holding his breath as the doctor began to speak he felt tears of joy fall from his eyes.
"melissa and the baby will be ok." the doctor said after speaking of all the medical things they had carried out to ensure mother and child were well.
Sighing a huge sigh of relief Josh felt a smile creep across his face.
may i see her please doctor? he asked anxious to see Melissa.
The doctor nodded in response and Josh raced into the room taking a seat next to her bed. Taking her hand in his he wept happy that Melissa and their child were ok but still rather worried at the possibility of more complications occurring.

Melissa woke slowly, hearing Josh crying beside her. She smiled as she saw him, Dont cry Joshy she whispered as she ran her fingers through his hair, Is the baby okay? she asked remembering what had happened.

Josh looked up smiling at her and wiping his falling tears with is free hand not letting go of her hand. the baby's fine, so are you. thank god. he smiled leaning forward and kissing her forehead.

Melissa sighed before crying, I dont get why you want to be with me, i cant even look after the most important to us, i am truly useless she cried

josh stood and wrapped his arms protectively around her. you aren't useless. I want to be with you because I love you. you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love the way you act yourself around me. I love you for being you. It isnt your fault their was complications with the baby... it happens and you pulled through it and helped yourself and the baby. he kissed her cheek.

Josh stood shocked. Pulling his hand away from hers he nodded sadly.
Love you. he whispered walking away as tears fell from his eyes.

Melissa sobbed as Josh left. She didnt really want him to leave, she need him, she loved him so much, and hated being apart from him. She eventually cried herself to sleep, just praying that Josh would be there once she awoke.

Josh hovered around outside not leaving the hospital worried for his fiance and child. Walking up and down the corridor he wandered when to re-enter the room. Slipping past her room he peered through the window and noticed she was sleeping silently. Creeping into the room he sat down next to her bed and wiped his wet face with the sleeve of his jumper.

Melissa woke up a few hours later, she smiled when she found Josh, I am sorry Joshy she whispered as tears fell softly down her cheeks

It's ok.... I know you are upset and worried but you don't need to be the doctors said that you and the baby are fine and that you can go home soon. I will look after you .. the both of you. he smiled placing his hand gently on her stomach.
