Family: Jennifer is an only child, her mother died at childbirth. This made her father believe that it was her fault. She always felt as though she was a murderer because of her father and when she met Marcus Black, she fell deeply in love with him and felt as though a weight had been lifted. She believes that they are married, therefore Jennifer uses Marcus’ surname, this is also because she feels as though she is hiding from her past life and feels it is better to change her name.
