Melissa looked at him, Yes Shayne, you know my brother she cried, he tried to split us up, and i couldnt let that happen, because of the baby, our baby she sobbed.

oh my .... Josh gasped pulling away from her unsure what else to do or say.
An awkward silence lingered in the air for a few moments whilst Josh thought what to say.
Milly.... what exactly did he do and say? he asked breaking the silence attempting to get the full background story from her. most importantly... does anybody else know hes .... dead?

He came to see me and he...he found the pregnacy test. He said he was going to kill you then i had to go home, until he decided what to do with me she cried.

Josh turned to her a blank expression on his face and thoughts swilling through his mind.
i love you so much Milly. I have fallen desperately in love with you and I am so glad we are having a child together, but i am so confused about you and your ... dead brother. he smiled weakly. does anyone else know hes dead? he asked staring into her eyes.

Melissa cried at Josh's words. I love you too Josh, this wouldnt have happened if i didnt, i couldnt let him hurt you, and no, no one knows about him she sniffed as she held tightly onto Josh's hand, praying that he wouldnt leave her and that they could be happy.

Melissa cried as Josh left her alone. She ran to the bedroom and lay on the bed crying to herself. As she cried she placed her hands softly on her stomach, wonder what the future had in store for her, her baby and the love of her life Josh.

Opening the door silently Josh tiptoed back into his and Melissa's new home. Wandering into his and Melissa's bedroom he watched his girlfriend sobbing lightly. Climbing into bed beside her he wrapped his arms around her. Rubbing her stomach he felt a spark of proud rush through him.
Melissa we will go to the police and tell them what happened. You were defending yourself from him. he could have killed you and he wanted to kill me. He was stupid and I will not allow his death to separate us. Thats what he wanted and I don't want to be without you I love you too much and want us to be a family. he stroked her stomach again his lips curving into a smile.

Melissa looked at Josh, a shocked expresion on her face, she couldnt believe what he had suggested. No Josh, I cant, I'll go to prison Josh, please, no one need ever know she tried to convince him that she was right.

Milly we have to tell them. You won't go to prison. I won't allow you to and you won't need to you were defending yourself. He was going to kill us both and you protected yourself from that. you won't go to prison because you did nothing wrong. Josh hugged her tight. I did think of not telling anyone but i have heard things and seen things that have happened to people who have told no one about killing someone whilst defending themselves and those people were eventually caught and sent to prison for not telling anyone what happened because by the time they were caught there was no evidence that to show it was self defense. If you tell the truth then you will be ok. Shayne was in the wrong and even though he was stupid he needs to be buried.

No Josh, its not going to happen please, i just cant, think of the baby, how am i meant to look after OUR baby is bloody prison she screamed before walking into the living room.
