Kris found himself in abrupt motion as he flinched at the fact he could visualise Lucy’s face as it haunted him. Kris began mumbling words that did not make any sense as he continued the nightmare over and over again. Kris was unable to shake the feeling of worry and anguish even as he was now literally shaking with the fear. The incomprehensible words that ran pass his lips began to make the littlest of sense as Lucy’s name began to be screeched out. His heartbeat increased as did his breathing rate as he panicked both in reality and his dream world. He could not escape Lucy’s tight grasp within the dream. He could barely see pass the darkness that covered his mind; the only sight of the close demented Lucy and his beloved Kate in the distance. The sudden cries of an infant could then be audible, ringing around his thoughts as it gradually became louder and louder each second that passed. With that, Kris covered his ears but followed the sound. His feet taking him to the doorway of a somewhat nursery. Within the nursery, centred was a small crib. This seemed to be the source of the wailing and so Kris slowly walked towards the crib and glanced down. Instantly seeing no sight of a child, Kris searched the crib, throwing blankets and cuddley toys out onto the soft lemon coloured carpet. His panic grew and grew, still no child was visible. His eyes widened with shock of hearing a deep harrowing tone behind him, he turned and found himself facing Lucy. In Lucy’s arms was what seemed to be a child covered in a large blanket. But now there was silence in the nursery…no screams of a distressed baby. He blinked, eyes darting to the child and then to Lucy’s traumatising face. He shook his head and quickly ran towards Lucy and the child that was being cradled within Lucy’s arms. As he did this, Lucy and the child disappeared. They had faded away…he reached his arm out to where they had previously stood. Then on hearing familiar sobs, he turned on his heel to find where they were coming from. He followed the pathway of the cries, as he had done earlier before he had found the nursery, and this led him to his one true love: Kate. She was cradling her head in her hands. He scurried to her side; she too, like Lucy and the child, disappeared. This left Kris sobbing out in fear. He awoke, tears streaming down his face as he realised he had been not only crying in his sleep but in reality too. He stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes and headed back to the kitchen to inform Kate that he would never be able to sleep ever again. I tried to be positive. he whispered and closed his eyes.

And chocolate cake...never dare deny it Kate smiled happily as she talked away to her stomach, trying to some how tell the child that was growing which foods it could deny, and which it had to accept with open arms. Her eyes glistened happily as she continued to babble away, speaking of things such as coco pops, jellies and toast. Her hearing soon began to pick up on the small muffling which came from the other room, her eyes slowly lifting from the small circle in which her hands had formed around her stomach after the multiple moments in which she'd spent chatting away to her delight. She blinked confused at the sudden sound and listened, her hands not once leaving the presence of her stomach - hopes to some how get her argument over food across still within silence. At seeing Kris, Kate's grin darted into a confused frown at seeing his cheeks tear stained yet again. Tried to be positive?
She had to admit, although not much time had passed, the small amount of sleep he'd received had obviously increased the healthy look beneath his usual enthusiastically sparkling blue eyes. She patted her stomach and with a bounce, landed in front of Kris, latching onto his cheeks. Kate despised seeing such sadness within his eyes, and in hopes to make them glow in the gaze she'd fallen in love with, she tugged on his cheeks - a distraction.
Tell our baby to let me drink tea She pleaded in a childish tone, her main intention to distract his thoughts away from anything depressing...dark...A shudder snapped up her spine instantly, but no trace of fear crossed her expression as she kept her puppy dog gaze on him. Please? With this said, she tugged on his cheeks once more.
Inside, thoughts of the past...the past that held so much seemed to linger, often around the darker sides of it. A familiar girl with blond hair was constantly alive, glaring in jealousy and spite. Inwardly, Kate shuddered once more, keeping herself under control as she felt her hands loosen on his dimpled cheeks. ...Please? She repeated quietly.

On hearing the quiet plea from his one true love, he nodded and somewhat accepted that she was distracting not only him but her too for a reason. Okies. he whispered in response and then looked at his girlfriend’s small bump in which their unborn child was protected by. Right miss’… he began, tone gentle but also strict as though he was a school teacher at the same time. He pointed his finger towards the bump and replaced his sadness with trying to please Kate. You, young miss’ will let your mother have tea! You hear me in there dudey? Kris ordered softly and then asked his question through a timid giggle. Laugh lines finally being found in his expression, Kris gently prodded Kate’s tummy and repeated his question: Did you hear me? With that, he patted Kate’s stomach and wriggled his nose until he was free from Kate’s tugging sensation in which she had carried out as part of the distraction that he had purposely fallen for so that he could block the images of the bitch that he no longer wanted to remember as “Lucy”. He then pulled her in tight for a hug. During this, he kissed her forehead and apologised. Maybe I should try harder next time. he said as though it was meant to be a thought. I just hope you too dudey do not take up a fetish of loving tea. Kris directed towards the bump, changing the subject with his very own distraction. I mean, there is nothing wrong with the substance, but have you seen your mother? She is like “RAWR IT’S TEA”…It is quite funny when you put it to a certain perspective. But yeh…I am rambling on… Kris chuckled lightly as he felt the urge to run for cover just in case Kate felt somewhat offended by his comment. Maybe daddy… he began, unable to finish as his heart melted as he realised that he was actually a father. After a short process of time, Kris pulled himself together and then finished his sentence. …Maybe your daddy should run from your Mummy before Mummy hits Daddy with a shoe for waffling. See this is why people should not sleep…they chat on about nothing. Kris babbled.

It was indeed amusing to notice how into the situation Kris got, and Kate couldn't prevent the mischievous mocked amusement from showing. It was to funny to ignore, but some how she felt it to be adorable. After all, he was talking as though...
She grinned wide. Maybe it could hear him! Of course, he was addressing it as a girl, which caused he to raise a brow in interest. her hand ready to circle her stomach before she found herself being embraced once more. Not once did she show any signs of unhappiness of this, for she felt only joy at having his arms around her - warmth soothing. As soon as she was about to say something she found reasonable, her brow began to twitch at the comments dropped over her seemingly sane love of tea (sane in her opinion obviously). She listened the whole time, her brow twitching all the more as her irritation grew...along with a blush of shame. The crimson colour flooded her cheeks like an unwelcome flood. Oh Har Har She grumbled, noticing the sudden fear in Kris' aura at the mentions of such things. She refrained from grinning in smugness at this, her expression hurt as she looked away. Well... She glanced to her stomach and patted it gently. Seeing as your daddy thinks he's babbling. I am going to bite him and you should know it is ok for you to bite him to if he's denying the tea. You have been warned and told She nodded, her expression growing blank as she looked up at Kris, tilting her head. It was then she began to smile...sly. Her eyes glinted dangerously as she patted her hands on her stomach all the more, stepping closer to Kris as she noticed his gaze flickering faintly. She bared her teeth and giggled. Why hello Kris She said simply, giggling innocently, eyes growing mischievous.

Kris’ eyes widened as he heard Kate’s response. Irm…Hello Kate? Kris said as though he was innocent. Eyes darting to the nearest exit, Kris smiled an apologetic smile on knowing he was going to be munched upon. This part here, is where Daddy takes a run for it… Kris screeched as he balanced on one foot, prepared to peg it towards the door. Kris giggled nervously, a quiet snort escaping as he did so. AAAAAAA he screamed out in slight fear but also to amuse his girlfriend. Right… Kris said, tone calm as though he was trying to ease the immense fear within in. Let’s not teach our child that it is OK to bite people. Kris said, trying to stop his mischievous girlfriend from nibbling on him. So…. Kris began, arms reaching out to settle his balance as he leapt forward and quickly scurried out of the kitchen door. He raced up the stairs and hid in the airing cupboard. Kate? he called out, scared of whether or not she had followed him. Unprepared for the pounce, Kris hugged the door; ear near enough glued to it as he listened for any sudden movement. Kate? he repeated, heartbeat shooting through the roof in somewhat excitement but also fear. The mood was tense as he began to feel a tad bit unnerved but also randomly content about the current situation. Unnerved as he had ran from a pregnant vampire-wannabe that was high off tea and happy as he had achieved running up the stairs without landing face first at the bottom of them. He was quite proud of himself that he had done this, but this pride was clouded by the mainly expressed feeling of worry as he waited in the airing cupboard. He placed his hand upon the cold metal door handle and said: Sorry about the tea comment! ...but you are not biting me…not today! he apologised as his smile grew wide. He did not know what facial expression to express and so he settled with the “GAH I should have not said that and I am sorry *sort of cheesy grin*” smile. He certainly did not want to be munched upon by someone, especially Kate, with a perfect set of teeth.

The whole situation struck Kate as...odd. She'd always known the both of them weren't the most ordinary couple, but after that quick event she was sure they where indeed unique. Although, a small smug expression formed as she watched the scene unfold. Even if it was in mock fear, she had to admit she was proud she'd scared someone away - even if it was her boyfriend. Gently, she patted her stomach and giggled, rolling her eyes. You've got to ignore him...he got dropped when he was little She murmured, nodding at her assumption. Just thinking over those words caused her to laugh quietly to herself where as her hearing sense was now listening to the scurrying of Kris' heavy footfall up above.
It was then a fresh thought struck her, causing her head to tilt in interest. She hadn't even been upstairs yet. Just knowing that an unknown sight awaited her caused her to instantly jump lightly on the spot. This repeated for a few moments, before she found her own silent foot fall creeping along the wooden flooring - eyes darting everywhere. It hit her as a small shock to hear Kris' voice echoing out the rather lame excuse of an apology (at least in her point of view). Instead of retorting, she found her gaze glancing and absorbing each and every moment she could as she trailed the banister of the staircase. With quiet and careful foot fall, Kate made her way up the stairs - smiling. The whole new sight wasn't the most amazing thing, but it was new. Kate liked new.
As she reached the final step, she took a small breath and glanced along the corridor before her. Her options where obvious. One - to search for her boyfriend and finally bite him. Two - to explore and probably curl up asleep some where random. Both sounded equally appealing, but being selfish, she decided to combine these. If I find him while exploring, then it's all fair She mused inwardly, allowing herself to poke her head into each room. Even as she passed the airing cupboard, Kate's gaze was to concerned on each and every shut door that surrounded her. Her hand continued to subconsciously trail the tiny bump on her stomach as she opened up yet another door. Her eyes widened instantly in joy. One phrase... Bedroom. Kate's grin was proof she had found her sanctuary.

Kris stayed silent from the moment that he heard the quiet footsteps of Kate as she took flight up the stairs. His heavy breathing unstable as he clung to the door, adrenaline pumping as again he awaited the pounce. Determined not to be caught out and bitten, Kris sunk to the floor, exploring the inner areas of the small compacted room. Oooh. Kris said, tone content as he noticed a little door handle on the wooden floor. With an adventurous glint in his eyes, Kris tugged at the handle and felt as though he had to open it. Nose twitching with excitement, Kris placed his hand upon the small handle and pulled the door open. Glancing in, firstly seeing darkness, Kris studied the hole in the floor. Another Oooh. gasping from his lips. He had found something needless to say worthy, but to him it was precious, something he had found on his very own adventure. Hands darting towards the small object placed within the hole, Kris picked up the object and cradled it. Oooh. he repeated, seeming to be the only word he could possibly say. Recognising the object as a little tin box, Kris felt the urge to open it. Sitting cross legged, this position comfortable to him, Kris placed the box on his lap and trailed his fingers along it. Seeing the tiniest of detail on it, he examined it further, eyes squinting to see what the detail expressed. It was of a small dragon, preferably on a child’s treasure box, a dragon that no longer had a roar of flames escaping its mouth, but a dash of reds and oranges that acted upon its behalf. The tin was old and damaged, making it even more worthy to Kris. It showed character and history, something that tended to interest him. His worries of being bitten had faded as he soon found the will within him to peer inside the petite box. Ooooooh!! he quietly exclaimed in delight…

All thoughts concerning her currently missing boyfriend escaped Kate's obviously immature mind as she lunged at the bed, landing on it with a small poof. The blankets exhaled the pent up air as she sunk into them, inhaling deep. The new scent which penetrated her senses seemed to overwhelm her with comfort. She giggled to herself, curling up into a ball upon the bed, all previous thoughts gone into the airy mind she proudly owned. As she began to drift into a further comfort zone, it was then she heard the small exclamations of ohhh being repeated over and over from somewhere outside the bedroom.
She clearly knew her choices - either get up and nose, or become lazy and lounge around the covers she had found a new sanctuary within. The sounds of ooohhh continued, which caused a grumble of irritation to form as she rolled into the covers grumbling to herself. After some time, she twitched and let out a loud whine, curling up even further. MEH! she exclaimed loud, head buried in the pillow. ....meh She repeated quietly.

Oooooooooh!! he exclaimed further, the delight progressing as he opened the small object. A gentle popping noise heard as he did so. This suggested to him that the box was older than he originally thought. WOW! he gasped loudly as he spotted a little gem placed in the box. The colours shimmering around the dark room in which he had settled in, he allowed yet another Ooooh!! to be set free from his thoughts and passed his plump lips. The excitement growing to a high extent as he loudly squealed out. KATE! he called out, leaping to his feet and fleeing out the door with such speed and lack of elegance that it had caused him to send himself flying into the banister and fall flat on his face ( - the proud feeling he had expressed earlier becoming downgraded as he landed with a thump on the ground.) Owie! he quickly sang out and then continued his journey to find his girlfriend. Where are you? he questioned and sprang around the upstairs of his new home in which he shared with the beauty he called his girlfriend. Staring down at the gem, he examined each detail as he had done with the box that contained it in. The colours so bright that it had distracted the pain that shot through him from the impact just a few seconds ago. KATE?!! he repeated, this time more urgent. He had no idea as to what he was going to say once he appeared at her side, but he had some time to think about that whilst he carried on with his search. Running passed the bathroom, he looked in and on not finding Kate he then checked a small room that was painted with colours of blues and oranges that complemented each other perfectly – this causing him to smile but continue to run around like a headless chicken. And then he came up to the bedroom. OOOOH! he screeched, tone high pitched as he did so. He was amazed by the sight and soon found himself distracted away from the exquisiteness of the minuscule gem placed within the box that he had found all by himself.

An irk of irritation seemed to bloom into a further being as Kate curled into a tighter ball, eyes closed over as she snuggled into the quilt. A sudden thump echoed out through out the house, which caused her to roll her eyes gently and curl up more. I didn't hear it...moo She thought to herself, to lazy to react. Hearing the small murmurs and thumps soon after, she was internally assured everything was ok. Her heart kicked into gear at hearing her named bellowed out, it hitting her like a sack load. A twitch formed as she sat up in the bed, hair already a mess as she clung to the seemingly ever softening blankets.
So attractive...
She buried her head into them once more, remaining sat up as she let out a small mumble of What?, it barely heard as she found her mouth being covered by the blankets - yawn escaping. Hearing the door slam open causing her to jump up in the bed, slowly tiering eyes growing wide in ultimate shock. Just hearing the phrase oooh echo out instantly alerted her that Kris had managed to find her. Some how, this amused her seeing as he was originally hiding from her bite. A gentle laugh escaped as she looked up at him, only her eyes and above visible from behind the soft luxury of the quilt.
What? She repeated, voice more audible as she blinked, eyes glistening in curiosity as she slowly awakened from her miniature form of a zoned out state. Relaxation still remained as she unconsciously sunk back into the covers, determined not to roll over in prevention of hurting Kris' sensitive feelings. It was then her eyes locked on the gem. Ooooh She gasped inwardly.

WOW!! he gasped as he looked around the room – full amazement expressed. The fact that he was now holding something so spectacular had rid his mind as he continued to glance around the room. He felt somewhat proud that he now lived in a house that had a room with such beauty and was at a large size. He had made something of himself and for that he was completely content. Smiling as he noticed the mess in which his pregnant girlfriend’s hair had became, he felt the need to hold back a small giggle.
She was attractive to him no matter what hairstyle she would tie her hair into, or the clothes she wore or even the mood she was in. He could not help but gaze at her for a short moment before he remembered that he was holding a small gem in his hands. Look! he innocently instructed and passed the box to his girlfriend for her to examine it as he had done so earlier. It’s oooooooh-ish! he informed her with a grin and began near enough bouncing on the spot.
Rubbing his face as he felt the pain hit, he sniffled quietly to himself and then started to beam his heart breaking smile yet again. What do you think? he asked upon the minuscule precious stone that his girlfriend now held. His tone was still a tad too high pitched for him to fix and so a blush appeared on his cheeks as his smile fell into a weaker one.

To drowsy to completely latch onto the situation at hand, Kate allowed her palms and body to slowly curl up a little more, yet another yawn escaping as she blinking slowly trying to gain a hold. "What?" She repeated softly, lids fluttering as she gently shuffled along the bed in a childish manner. Everything came with her - the quilt, covers...even a pillow tagged along for the minor adventure. How fun. Yet, her eyes never once left the clutches of the jem as she tilted her head in obvious awe. She nodded numb in response to his oohing, her palm slowly appearing from under the quilt as she allowed her fingertip to trace the cold texture of the box.
She wouldn't dare touch the gem itself, the fragile appearance almost to delicate to even look at. Having her hands latch around the box, she placed it on her knees softly, touch tender as she stared at it speechless. Blinking multiple times, she glanced back to Kris, eyes wide. "...W-what....where...eh?" She stammered, stuck for words. She pulled her hands back and held them to her face, scared to touch it in case of causing any damage. "Wow" was all she could manage, head lounging on his shoulder as she gently poked the box. Wow...
{{*giggles* ditto XD hahaha}}

Mirroring his girlfriend’s action of yawning and soon standing on his tippy toes, Kris began to giggle at the sight of Kate shuffling across the floor, bringing with her near enough the whole bed itself. He took great delight in being amused at such a thought and then rolled his eyes at the petite girl that he had handed the small box that contained his new found treasure in. He placed his hand to his face, covering his mouth as he laughed quietly to himself.
He placed his hands in his pockets, posture weak as he looked around the room. He tilted his head and looked around at the mess that she had just created in the room that was immaculate before Kate decided to dismantle the bed and drag the contents along the floor in her sleepy state.
Soon understanding Kate’s jumble of words, he began to try and form a sentence so that he could inform her of what he knew on the small gem. I think it is a real gem, you know? he whispered, somewhat not wanting anyone to overhear that he had found something precious out of the fear that someone would take his pride of finding the small jewel on his very own little adventure. It was in the airing cupboard. he added, his words barely audible.
His smile was timid, shy like as he awaited Kate’s opinions upon the tiny object, secured in the old tinned box. On hearing the gasp of ”wow”, his smile blossomed into his cheeky usual one, he felt the pride feeling return.
He was not thinking and soon found himself blurting out a sentence in which he thought he would never, ever say: What should we name it? with that, his eyes shot wide. I am an idiot; a definite idiot!! the words rang through his thoughts as a radiant blush appeared on his cheeks – he was quite embarrassed at this point.

Kate had truthfully no idea what on earth was going on within her own little world; quilts tight within her frail grasp as she shuffled all the more closer to Kris and the ever sparking treasure he had randomly found within the house hold. Completely oblivious to the small laughs escaping from Kris at this current moment in time as her small hands held onto the box gently, eyes staring at the small gem in a strange sense of awe. Her oceanic gaze didn't flicker as she subconsciously centered everything upon it, taking in each and every sight she could of such a thing. Honestly, how on earth such a thing was in side the house she couldn't figure out.
"It...it looks real" She whispered softly as she remained completely oblivious to the fact that Kris was indeed beside her, mind off in a daze as she found herself amazed by such a small beauty. Blinking slowly, she pulled it closer to her face and sniffed it softly, sneezing quietly as some dust managed to catch within her nose. Another quiet sneeze echoed out as she blinked startled by such a thing - a murmur of a groan escaping due to it. "Sorry" She grumbled, nose scrunching as she shook her head in hopes to rid it of the sudden itching sensation due to the small action.
Trying to remain within the conversation like any other sane person, she let another wow escape in a nearly mute tone, head hitting Kris' leg subconsciously as she continued to hold the object with a gentle touch - resiting it almost on her stomach as if it would provide support for it. Yet, she almost felt herself drop it as she heard Kris' question blurt out - silence following it as she blinked slowly. Unsure to what he had meant, her gaze slowly traveled up to meet the upper one of his - his own face having lit up in an ever blazing blush. Fluttering her lids profusely, the brunette rose a brow and felt the questions in her head wake her up once and for all.
"....Just out of curiosity...are you...talking about naming the gem?" She questioned, inwardly cringing. If he where directing the child, then Kate would finally be at a loss. The silence once again surrounded them as she tugged on his pant leg in hopes to get him to sit down beside her in the mess of quilts and the odd pillow which had tagged along when she had chose to dismantle the bed in her sleepy dazed state previously. Yet, now she wasn't sleepy. In fact, she was more alert than earlier as she gazed up toward him in a questioning fashion, palms not leaving his pant leg until he would indeed react to her tugging.
Meanwhile, the gem remained safe between the gap in her stomach and her currently free hand.
[[sorry for uber rant and lameness *tis cool* hehe]]

Tilting his head to the side, the blush never disappearing from his beautiful face, Kris’ eyes shot wide open as the loud sounds of Kate’s sneeze echoed throughout the room. In a small instant, Kris was that surprised on hearing the sneeze that his hands were now shaking slightly as his knees fell weak. Well I was not expecting that… he inwardly admitted. Blinking and then somehow finding the will to come back down to reality, Kris began to clap. Saving the fairies was something he had been taught to do as a child; a somewhat tradition that he would never escape from as it was the only memory that he found to be happy from his childhood. Cringing at such a thought, his mind falling distant yet again, head then tilting to the other side, he whispered the words of: Bless you… that quietly that it was near enough not audible to the ears.
It is ok… he added, tone just as quiet as he did so. Glancing down at his leg as Kate’s head hit it gently, he just shrugged. Her random action had somehow calmed him down…it was weird in all honesty. He giggled silently to himself as he noticed her in a somewhat awe. Fighting the urge to touch her perfect face, or even play with one of her curls, Kris placed his hands in his pockets. This action was down to the fact that he had made the situation awkward by asking the random sentence that left him doubting showing her the small gem. But he could not just hide it from her - the small precious stone had brought back his pride and had given him a sign that everything was going to be ok as long as he stayed being who he was.
Er…er… he stuttered, realising that he could have meant their unborn child. Now he had put his foot in it! Oh jam, oh jam, oh jam!! he squirmed. His stomach churning as nerves set up camp. As soon as she started tugging on his pant leg, he felt obliged to speak. Knowing what to say next would have to be structured carefully! But he was a man that could never speak the words he meant and so he feared he would say something wrong and cause friction between them. Inhaling a deep breath and then gulping, he plucked up the courage to answer her question. …The…the gem. I meant the gem. he stammered his words, palms feeling really clammy as the radiant blush grew deeper and deeper each second that passed.
Taking one hand out of his pocket and placing it over Kate’s that lay allocated on his leg, Kris smiled weakly. It sounds weird, but can we name it? he asked, tone sweet – childlike. Hands still trembling faintly, although he was calming down a little, he removed the other hand from his pocket and relaxed his shoulders so that it lay down by his side. Trying to stand in a comforting position in order to stop the quivering, he looked down at his girlfriend. Seeing the hope in her eyes that she secretly wanted him to sit down beside her, he took the offer and parked himself on the mess that Kate would class as quilts and so on. He gazed over, thinking deeper into the fairy tradition whilst the words of his idiotic question flew around his thoughts. Layering over his happy memories. moo!!!
note: wah hey hey, lameness of the waffle!!
